The Art of Kama Sutra Myths & Facts

Kama Sutra is not the act of sex or all about sex positions as many think. The Kama Sutra is actually an ancient Indian Hindu text that is a guide to human sexual behavior. Broken down, Kama means "sensual" and Sutra in it's literal meaning means line, but can be converted to mean (more modernly) "rule of".

The book does depict ancient drawings of sexual positions, but it also contains verses significant to the sensual pleasures of posing, love, family and other aspects related to the pleasures of life. In the modern Kama Sutra material, the verses may not be included or may be more geared towards sex than the ancient intent. If you take the book of Kama Sutra and use it to enhance your intimate life instead of using it as a sex manual, you will find the sensual pleasures that the Indian Hindus were guiding you to. It's not about the sex, it's about the Hindu goals of finding lifes pleasures of which intimacy is one. That is the Art of the Kama Sutra.
